How do I know if I can mount a television on my wall?
Not only will your television look great hanging on your wall, it will also free up much-needed space. Most TVs are designed to be mounted on a wall, but there are a few things you need to consider first.
- You need to have studs located to secure the TV bracket on the wall. Our team have stud finders that we regularly use to locate the most secure location to install the TV bracket mount. Although there are often suitable studs located to support each wall, the stud locations in your wall will determine where we can install and position your television.
- The correct bracket needs to be chosen to ensure it supports your television for a long period of time.
- A visually appealing wall mounted television ideally should be plugged in to the power directly behind it, so it doesn’t need to have dropped cords underneath it, concealing any cords required. Access behind the TV will be required in order to conceal any cords for your TV.
- TVs shouldn’t be mounted on top of a fireplace, but we can inspect your space to consider if it is a suitable location that won’t damage your TV.
- Check to see where the ports are located on your television. If the ports are on the back of the TV, we would consider purchasing a wall mount that can telescope outwards, which will give you better access to the back of your television.
- Consider your angle - if you like to view your TV on an angle depending on where you may sit in your space, we can look at providing and installing a swivel bracket.
